The Grover T’s BBQ Story

Grover T’s BBQ invites you to take a break from your day & enjoy a fun, laid-back dining experience with a local Gulf Coast atmosphere & a whole lot of Southern Hospitality.

Our menu specialties include…slow-smoked pork, chicken, beef, turkey & St. Louis style ribs… cooked to perfection for up to 18 hours!

You know what they say – if it doesn’t have a pink ring, it’s not the real thing!

We also highly recommend a few of our Special Southern Cookin’ Favorites… catfish, shrimp etouffee, chicken tenders, shrimp & grits, entrée salads, handmade burgers & other non-traditional BBQ offerings on the menu. With the many mouth-watering appetizers & entrees, a variety of country-style sides to choose from along with outstanding desserts like our famous homemade banana puddin’ & fruit cobbler… that are made in our kitchen daily. All of our food is prepared using only the freshest ingredients.

We serve “Real, Slow Smoked BBQ”, cooked fresh several times each day. And because we do, sometimes we may sell out of some items. If we do, we are sorry for any inconvenience, but we only know one way to do it and we just won’t sell you food we can’t be proud of.

Our restaurant includes several spacious dining rooms…our ‘BBQ’ themed room allows a couple to dine-in private or a group to pull together several tables to hang-out with family & friends. The Emerald Coast’ room is available for private parties and meetings.  While the Blackwater River’ room is a perfect place to watch the latest sporting events on our large screen TV’s with a pitcher of beer, smoked wings or a rack of ribs. Our New Drive-thru is convenient for you to pull in & pick-up some Q’ on the go -or- you can carry out your order for a family picnic, party, business meeting or to take home. And we are becoming known as Catering Experts’ offering numerous self-serve & full–service options for Weddings, Business & Church Gatherings to name a few occasions.

The Principal owners – Mike Thomas and Rodger Head are both Pensacola natives and seasoned restaurant veterans. They both have a deep love of the South and the recipes, service, and atmosphere are a direct reflection of that love. Grover T’s BBQ is named in honor of Grover Thomas and is a tribute to all things Southern just like Mike’s dad lived his life. Grover Thomas was a true Southern boy! His family roots date back several generations from Santa Rosa County. He was a successful entrepreneur that helped many families start and run successful businesses.
